Former Sioux City Soldier Dies in Action
Leonard Elliott formerly of Sioux City was killed in action on Mindanao, April 26, according to word received here. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Elliott former residents of Sioux City, who now live in Oakland, Cal., and the grandson of Mrs. Carrie Olson, 114 Myrtle Street.

Leonard Dexter Elliott was born Jan. 17, 1922 to Lloyd Walden and Clara Olsen Elliott. He died Apr. 26, 1945 and is buried in Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, CA.
Pvt. Elliott served with the U.S. Army 124th Infantry, 31st Infantry Division in World War II.
