Gerhardt George Eilers was born Feb. 3, 1925 to Fred and Anna Marie Eilers. He died Dec. 4, 1944 and is buried in Lorraine American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint Avold, France. He was first buried at Temporary American Military Cemetery, Limey, France.
Pvt. Eilers served with the U.S. Army 378th Infantry Regiment, 95th Division and was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.
