Loren F. Ehlert was born Apr. 11, 1925 to Edward Franz and Lena Carolina Boger Ehlert. He died Sept. 5, 1989 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.
Loren served with the U.S. Army 67th Engineers in the Pacific Theater of World War II.

Loren F. Ehlert, son of Ed and Lena (Boger) Ehlert was born April 11, 1925 at Danbury, Iowa. He attended Webster City schools and served during World War II with the U.S. Army 67th Engineers in the Pacific Theater. In December of 1949 he married Juanita Breitenkamp. He farmed south of Stanhope and also operated E&E Construction Company with his son.
Mr. Ehlert died Tuesday, Sept. 5, at his farm home south of Stanhope. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Foster Funeral Home in Webster City with Rev. Neal Solomonson officiating. Burial at Graceland Cemetery with graveside flag folding services conducted by the American Legion. Friends and family may call at Fosters Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today.
He is survived by two daughters; Chris (Mrs. Don) Stuhr of Glidden, and Lorna (Mrs. Charles) Van Langen of Ellsworth; one son, Warren Ehlert of Stanhope; a close friend, Betty Johnson of Stanhope; eight grandchildren; his mother, Lena Ehlert of Stanhope; two brothers, Robert Brown of Dayton and Carl Ehlert of Herrick, Ill.; two sisters, Lorraine (Mrs. Max) Groves of Eagle Grove and Delores (Mrs. Richard) Ahrends of Webster City.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1967, and was baptized in the Lutheran faith. He was a member of the Story City American Legion, the Webster City Moose Lodge and the C.S.P. Club.
