Gaylord Martin Edvenson was born Mar. 12, 1920 to Galy M. and Mabel A. Westwick Edvenson. He died July 22, 2009 and is buried in the Rose Grove Cemetery, Williams, IA.
Capt. Edvenson served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal. He completed 65 combat bombing missions in the China-Burma-India Theater.
