Storm Lake, Iowa—Wendell T. Edson, former Storm Lake attorney, has been promoted from first lieutenant to captain. He is in the judge advocate division of the army and is at present in Washington. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Edson. Capt. Edson was inducted into the army as a private little more than a year ago.

Wendell Truman Edson was born Dec. 11, 1907 to John and Ada Whitted Edson. He died June 10, 2001 and is buried in Buena Vista Memorial Park, Storm Lake, IA.
Col. Edson served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
