Merrill John Edberg was born Nov. 13, 1922 to Elmer August and Myrtle Jeanette Bauer Edberg. He died Apr. 18, 1945 and is buried in Netherlands American Cemetery, Margraten, Netherlands.
Sgt. Edberg served in World War II with the U.S. Army 742nd Field Artillery Battalion and was MIA/KIA in Germany while in the service of his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
