Richard George Eckert was born Jan. 30, 1921 to Harvey and Mamie C. Larson Eckert. He died Feb. 9, 1945 and is buried in Rush Lake Cemetery, Curlew, IA.
Pvt. Eckert served in World War II with the U.S. Army 22nd Infantry, 4th Division and was KIA in Mannheim, Germany.
