Keith served with the U.S. Marine Corps in World War II.

Keith E. Draper, 92, of Webster City, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at the Van Diest Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Asbury United Methodist Church, with Rev. Jay Amundson officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Graveside military rites will be conducted by American Legion Post # 191.
Keith Edwards Draper, son of Clare and Mina Edwards Draper, was born August 10, 1920 at Webster City. He received his education in the Webster City school system. On November 27, 1940, he married LaVonne Ruth Welp at Webster City. The couple resided at Webster City where they owned and operated Luppes Transport for 30 years. He sold the business in the mid-90’s and retired in 1995.
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Andy Long of Hamilton, Iowa, son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Jan Draper of Stillwater, MN, five grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Joyce Jones, sisters, Barbara Cayler and Dorothy Brandrup.
Keith was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, Holiday Rambler RV Club, Webster City Moose Family Center, American Legion Post # 191 and ABI (Chamber of Commerce).
Memorials may be directed to the Hospice Center of Iowa in memory of Keith.
