Sheldon, Iowa – Mrs. Joe Donohue of Sheldon received a letter from her husband, Joe Donohue, son of Mrs. Jack Donohue of Sheldon that he is with American troops in New Guinea.

Joseph Allen Donohue was born May 24, 1912 to John J. and Esther Hankomp Donohue. He died Mar. 10, 1947 and is buried in Saint Patricks Cemetery, Sheldon, IA.
Sgt. Donohue served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps.
