George Elmer Deetz was born May 15, 1925 to George and Selma Mikop Deetz. He died May 27, 1944 and is buried in Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy.
Pvt. Deetz served in World War II with the U.S. Army 339th Infantry Regiment, 85th Infantry Division and was KIA in Italy and awarded the Purple Heart.
