Roy V. Decknadel was born Nov. 1, 1917 to Elso E. and Dena DeVries Decknadel. He died Jan. 8, 1945 and is buried in Lorraine American Cemetery, St. Avold, France.
Cpl. Decknadel served in World War II with the U.S. Army 753rd Tank Battalion and was MIA/FOD/KIA near Gross-Steinhausen, Germany while in the service of his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
