DRAFT SITUATION REMAINS INDEFINITE FOR MEN OVER 26
Continue to Reclassify Many
The draft situation remains indefinite for the many men over 26 who had planned on entering the service in the very near future. For men over 35 who were reclassified a few weeks ago, the situation is not much better though it appears they will not be called until the supply of younger men is exhausted. Some action on the matter is promised from Washington in the near future, as it is imperative that these men know where they stand.

Acting Manager Of Telephone Co. Enters Service
Donald De Gooyer, who has been acting manager of the Mutual Telephone Company since Manager Ross K. Vernon entered the service, last Wednesday left for army service. John Vander Berg is taking care of the work temporarily on service jobs, until the board can find a man to take over.

Donald De Gooyer Discharged
Donald De Gooyer arrived home on Monday evening and has been discharged after six months of service. He has been receiving his basic training at Camp Blanding, Florida and the past month was stationed in South Carolina. Don will go back to his former work with the local telephone company.
