Raymond Earl Davis was born Feb. 12, 1923 to Ross Dell and Rose Genevieve Holdridge Davis. He died July 24, 1945 and has a cenotaph in Oakland Cemetery, Manchester, IA. He is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Petty Officer Davis served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was MIA/ FOD while serving his country. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and Purple Heart.
