Harris B. Damon was born Oct. 11, 1911 to Henry Burton and Abbie Grace Harris. He died Jan. 18, 1945 and is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove, IA.
Pvt. Damon served in World War II with Co. D, 290th Infantry Regiment, 75th Division. He was KIA in Belgium where he was initially buried with full military honors.
