Harley William Dally was born Apr. 13, 1921 to Harold and Mae Dally. He died Mar. 12, 1966 and is buried in Saint John’s Cemetery, Gandy, NE.
Harley served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Funeral services for Harley W. Dally, of Costa Mesa, Calif., former Webster City resident, were held March 18 at 10 a.m. at St. John’s Catholic church in Stapleton, Neb., with the Rev. Stephen Deaver officiating. Rosary was recited at the Adams-Swanson funeral home in North Platte, Neb., Thursday evening, March 17.
Internment was at St. John’s cemetery at Stapleton. Pallbearers were John Daigger, Charles Kramer, Bernard, Dave, Larry and Lynn Winder. Military honors were performed by the veterans’ organization of Stapleton.
Harley William Dally, son of Harold and Mae Dally, was born at Highview, Iowa, April 13, 1921. He died March 12, 1966, at Hoag Memorial hospital in Newport Beach, Calif.
On Nov. 8, 1942, he was united in marriage to Pauline Winder and to this union, one daughter, Sharon, was born.
Harley spent most of his young life in Iowa with the exception of the time he was in the armed forces during World War II. At one time he operated the Chicago cafe in Webster City.
Fifteen years ago he had moved to Costa Mesa, Calif., with his family to make his home.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his wife, and daughter, Sharon Shannon, and grandson, Steven, all of Costa Mesa; his mother, who resides at Estherville; one sister, Lois Guritz of Costa Mesa; two brothers, Gerald of Boone and Kenneth of Des Moines.
