Lieut. Thomas J. Crowley
Funeral services for Lieut. Thomas Joseph Crowley, 24, of Des Moines, former Sioux Cityan who was killed in a crash of an army bomber at Trinidad, Colorado, last Thursday, will be held at 9 a.m. Thursday in the Cathedral of the Epiphany.
Rev. Thomas Parle will officiate and interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be six lieutenants from the Sioux City air base. The American Legion will furnish the firing squad for the service.
The rosary will be said at 8:30 p.m. today in the Perasso Bros. Funeral Home.
The body will arrive Wednesday with a military escort from Clovis, N.M., and will be at the Chapel until the time of service.

John Thomas Crowley was born Dec. 22, 1918 to John Patrick and Mary Aileen Smith Crowley. He died Mar. 25, 1943 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery, Sioux City, IA.
Lt. Crowley served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 355th Bomb Squadron, 302nd Bomb Group and died near Trinidad, CO while in the service of his country.
