Glen Roy Coulter was born Dec. 16, 1913 to Roy William and Delia Mae Lundell Coulter. He died May 28, 1992 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.
Glen served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II in Great Britain.
Obituary:
Glen Coulter, 78, a longtime Webster City businessman, died Thursday, May 28, at the Hamilton County Public Hospital. Private funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Foster Funeral Home with the Rev. Vernon Sorensen and Liz Coulter officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. today at the funeral home. There will be no viewing.
Glen Roy Coulter, son or Roy and Delya (Lundell) Coulter was born Dec. 16, 1913 at Stratford. He received his education in Stratford and Webster City, graduating from Webster City High School. He was employed at the Coulter Paint Store with his father. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in Great Britain for four years. Following his discharge, he returned to work with his father at the paint store.
On Dec. 11, 1950 he married Wilma Rettel at Vancouver, Wash. The couple made their home in Webster City. He then formed a paint store partnership with his brothers, Harold and Don. He retired in 1980 and sold his interest in the business.
He is survived by his wife, Wilma; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Audrey Coulter, Webster City; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Bob Buckley, Webster City; nephews, Tim and Tom Maudlin and Charles Coulter, and five grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harold; and sister, Ione.
He was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church and the American Legion Post No. 191.
Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
