WM. COSGROVES, of DOAN, HAVE THREE SONS IN SERVICE.
Doan: John Cosgrove, son of Supervisor and Mrs. Wm. Cosgrove, left Friday morning with eight boys from Wesley, Iowa, for Des Moines for army entrance examinations. John has two other brothers now serving their country; Donald Cosgrove in Alaska in the coast guard and Andrew Cosgrove in the Navy.

Andrew Clifford Cosgrove was born Mar. 20, 1910 to William Stephen and Thora Caroline Johnson Cosgrove. He died June 4, 1978 and is buried in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Wesley, IA.
Petty Officer Cosgrove served in World War II with the U.S. Navy. He also served in Korea.
