Bradden Leroy Cooper was born Apr. 6, 1919 to Abraham Lincoln and Effie Mae McGuire Cooper. He died Nov. 9, 1994 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, KS.
Pvt. Cooper served in World War II with the U.S. 5th Army in Italy and was awarded the Soldier’s Medal for heroism when he saved four comrades from drowning in North Africa.
