James Mervin Cooney was born Dec. 27, 1916 to James F. and Mary M. Reynolds Cooney. He died Nov. 8, 1944 and is buried in Saint Michaels Cemetery, Holbrook, IA.
Pvt. Cooney served in World War II with the U.S. Army and died at Camp Barkley, TX.
