Jasper Leroy Cook was born Aug. 17, 1921 to Roy Raymond and Nellie Jane Sammons Cook. He died Feb. 18, 1945 and is buried in Epinal American Cemetery and Memorial, Dinoze, France.
Pvt. Cook served in World War II with the U.S. Army 274th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Battalion, 70th Infantry Division. He was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.
