Our Neighbors In Service
Moville, Iowa – Mr. and Mrs. Roswell Cobb, Sr. have received word that their son, Pfc. Roswell Cobb, Jr. is missing in action. The telegram stated that he had been missing since June 22, somewhere in France, No further details were given. Pfc. Cobb will be 24 on his next birthday. He has been in the service for two years, having left for overseas about the first of March, 1944. His brother, Malcolm, is in training in Texas and his youngest brother, Robert of Sioux City is to enter the service in the course of the next couple weeks. The other Cobb boy, Ronald, of Chicago, received his medical discharge from the army some time ago.

Malcolm Cobb was born Jan. 15, 1911 to Roswell and Pearl Robeson Cobb. He died Nov. 16, 1988.
Malcolm served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 47th Bomb Group, 3rd Air Force.
