Wayne George Claude, Pfc. U.S. Army – KIA
Wayne George Claude was born Jan. 22, 1919 to William W. and Jane K. Claude. He died Aug. 21, 1944 and is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion, IA.
Pfc. Claude was assigned as a Light Machine Gunner to Co. F, 87th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron (Mechanized) 7th Armored Division. He was killed along the route from Dourdan to Roinville (in the Essonne Department) to Mauchamps, France.
