Thomas E. Clarke was born July 30, 1917 to Thomas M. and Mary C. Coen Clarke. He died June 19, 1944 and is buried in Glendale Cemetery, Des Moines, IA. He was initially buried in the 4th Marine Division Cemetery in Saipan and returned to the U.S. for permanent burial in 1948.
Capt. Clarke served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps and was KIA in combat operations on Saipan.
