Another Sioux City Soldier Is Wounded In Mediterranean
Mr. and Mrs. George W. Chase, 1102 14th Street, are in receipt of a telegram from the war department announcing that their son, Private George A. Chase, Jr., 24, had suffered a slight wound in action in the Mediterranean area.
The Sioux Cityan was one of 10 Iowa soldiers wounded in action in that area, according to information made public by the war department today.
Mrs. Dorothy Foster, a sister, said that the family received a Christmas card from her brother a few days ago. He attended Irving and Woodrow Wilson Schools. Private Chase entered the service from Seattle, Washington, and had been stationed at Little Rock, Arkansas before he went overseas about September 1.
