IN UNIFORM
S. Sgt. Walter Cassel, son of Mr. and Mrs. David Cassel, 1014 Pierce street, who is serving with the 601 malaria survey detachment at Camp Plauche, New Orleans, is spending three weeks with his unit on active malaria investigations on the banks of the Mississippi river about two and one-half miles from the camp, according to a recent letter to his parents.
