Casper, Anamosa, with the Silver Star for gallantry in action in Holland Feb. 26, 1945. T/5 Casper, 21, is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Casper, Anamosa, and attended the Anamosa High school previous to entering the army.

George Henry Caspers was born July 6, 1924 to Peter M. and Johanna E. Poppe Caspers. He died Feb. 13, 1992 and is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Anamosa, IA.
