Keith Frederick Carstens was born Nov. 28, 1925 to Roland and Olga Mulkey Carstens. He died Apr. 25, 1945 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.
Lt. Carstens served in World War II with the U.S. Army 172nd Infantry Regiment, 43rd Infantry Division and was KIA on Luzon, Philippine Islands and was awarded the Purple Heart.
