Lyle Campbell, 90, of Iowa Falls, Iowa, passed away June 24, 2016 with his family by his side at his home in Iowa Falls. Funeral services for Lyle Campbell will be 10:30 am Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Iowa Falls Meeting Room; 3020 River Oaks Road; Iowa Falls, Iowa 50126. A time of visitation with friends and family will be 9:30 am Tuesday, June 28, 2016 also at The Iowa Falls Meeting Room. The Linn’s Funeral Home in Iowa Falls is helping the family with arrangements.
Lyle Maurice Campbell was born January 10, 1926 near Williams, Iowa. He was the son of Harold and Grace (Nicolet) Campbell. He grew up on a farm near Williams. He served his country in the United States Navy for 2 years from 1944 to 1946 on the USS Ticonderoga.
In 1950 Lyle and Elizabeth Franke were married in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where they then moved to a farm near Iowa Falls, where they farmed for 54 years. To this union 4 children were born: Thomas, Carolyn, Wendolyn, and Katholyn. Lyle was a man who was highly respected over the years for his kindness and Godliness. He rarely left the house in the morning without first spending time with his Lord.
He will be greatly missed by his wife, Elizabeth Campbell, of 65 years; his son: Thomas (Fran), his three daughters: Carolyn (Wally), Gwendolyn (Dave), and Katholyn (John); his brother: John (Ruth); his sisters: Miriam and Jean; sister-in-law: Dorothy; brother-in-law: Dennis; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Harold and Grace Campbell; his sister: Ruth Brinkmeyer; and his brother: Jim Campbell.
