James Arthur Campbell was born Jan. 13, 1921 to James Stewart and Anna Sophia Hatrick Campbell. He died Feb. 6, 1944 and is buried in Keokuk National Cemetery, Keokuk, IA. His body was returned from France Nov. 8, 1948.
Lt. Campbell served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 710th Bomb Squadron, 447th Bomb Group and was KIA in France in the service of his country.
