Harold Carlyle Campbell was born Aug. 11, 1924 to Carlyle B. and Laura E. Campbell. He died Dec. 25, 1945 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Knoxville, IA.
Pvt. Campbell served in World War II with the U.S. Army 264th Infantry 66th Infantry Division and was KIA as the result of the destruction and sinking of an American transport, carrying troops in the European theater of operations.
