Russell Paul “Russ” Calame was born Aug. 31, 1921 to Gordon J. and Marcelle Elizabeth Garvey Calame. He died July 16, 2015 and is buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salt Lake City, UT.
Russ served in World War II with the U.S. Army. After his service he became an FBI agent and rose quickly through the leadership ranks of the Bureau, becoming the Special Agent in Charge of the Utah division.He received over forty commendations and awards, the Utah Distinguished Service Award, and was asked to serve on both the Utah Governors Council and Federal Executive Association.
