Theora Bruce Burk was born July 31, 1922 to Chess Clay and Alta Evelyn Carrico Burk. He died Jan. 26, 1943 and is buried in Brethren Cemetery, Dallas Center, IA.
Lt. Burk served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 313th Fighter Squadron, 50th Fighter Group (Sp.) and died of injuries received in an airplane accident while in the service of his country.
