Robert Frederick Burchard was born Jan. 20, 1919 to Frederick A. and Stella Mabel Johnson Burchard. He died Feb. 19, 1943 and is buried in Cedar Memorial Park, Cedar Rapids, IA.
Flight Officer Burchard served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 37th Squadron, 316th Troop Carrier Group and died of wounds received in action in defense of his country in North Africa.
