Daniel Leigh Boone was born Sept. 6, 1924 to Lloyd Neil and Marie Helen Bensen Boone. He died Feb. 25, 1945 and is buried in East Side Cemetery, Estherville, IA.
Pvt. Boone served in World War II with the U.S. Army Co. M. 405th Infantry, 102nd Infantry Division and was KIA in Tietz, Germany.
