Walter Edward “Jack” Berhow, Jr. was born Nov. 22, 1925 to Walter Edward (Sr.) and Mable Theresa Olson Berhow. He died Nov. 6, 1991 and is buried in Utah State Veterans Memorial Park, Bluffdale, Utah.
M/Sgt. Berhow served with the U.S. Army in World War II, Korea and Vietnam*. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
*One of 325 known U.S. Army servicemen to ever have been issued the Triple CIB (Combat Infantryman Badge) for service “in harms way on the battle field” in three different wars.
