Russell Herman Benedict was born Aug. 26, 1919 to Ariel A. and Olga Pleister Benedict. He died Feb. 27, 1975 and is buried in Fairview Memorial Garden, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Capt. Benedict served in World War II with the U.S. Army Signal Corps.
