Jack Leonard Bateman was born Aug. 1, 1914 to James A. and Jeanette Erickson Bateman. He died Jan. 11, 1999 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, IA.
Lt. Bateman served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 33rd Material Squadron in Puerto Rico and 58th Fighter Squadron in the Virgin Islands.
