Robert James Barney was born Oct. 9, 1918 to Cullen Hawkins and Ressa V. Tahash Barney. He died July 1, 1945 and is buried in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Honolulu, Hawaii.
Flight Officer Barney served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 1330th Base Unit and died in India while serving his country.
