Virgil Emerald Bappe was born Jan. 29, 1913 to George Thomas and Minnie Ream Marquart Bappe. He died Feb. 23, 1974 and is buried in Nevada Municipal Cemetery, Nevada, IA.
Virgil served with the U.S. Army 758th Field Artillery in World War II.
