Raymond Paul Brecht was born Dec 24, 1918 to Henry E. and Adaline Tebockhorst Brecht. He died Feb. 5, 1945 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Cambridge American Cemetery, Cambridge, England.
Sgt. Brecht served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 36th Bomber Squadron, 801st Bomber Group, Heavy and was a crew member of a B-24 (Liberator) aircraft which disappeared while on an operational mission over the North Sea. He was declared MIA/KIA/FOD and was awarded the Purple Heart.
