Sheldon, Iowa – Private Donald Bower, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerard J. Bower near here is receiving his basic training in the quartermaster’s corps at Fort Warren, Wyoming.

Donald Edwin Bower was born Jan. 2, 1922 to Gerard J. and Bertha Bower. He died July 9, 2004 and is buried in East Lawn Cemetery, Sheldon, IA.
Sgt. Brouwer served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
