Kendrick Blake was born Aug. 3, 1924 to Steele and Katharine Lavinia Richmond Blake. He died May 30, 1944 and is buried in Violet Hill Cemetery, Perry, IA.
Lt. Blake served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 261st Base Unit at Abilene Army Air Base, TX and was killed piloting P-47D Thunderbolt #43-24267 in a ground collision accident while on a practice bomb run at the Abilene Bombing Range.
