Donald Jay Blake was born Jan. 19, 1923 to William A. and Hattie Goldie McCain Blake. He died Nov. 30, 1942 and is buried in the Danville National Cemetery, Danville, IL.
Petty Officer Blake died in the service of his country with the U.S. Navy, at sea in the Pacific area while aboard the USS New Orleans (CA-32) in Guadalcanal.
