Joseph W. Black was born about 1925 to George V. and Ella Black. He died Oct. 7, 1944 and is buried in Lorraine American Cemetery, St. Avold, France.
Pvt. Black served in World War II with the 317th Infantry Regiment, 80th Infantry Division and was KIA and was awarded the Purple Heart.
