Norbert Bernard Bengford was born May 10, 1924 to Ben H. and Irma Dinges Bengford. He died Aug. 16, 1944 and is buried in Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupre, Belgium.
Sgt. Bengford served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 567th Bomber Squadron, 389th Bomber Group, Heavy and was KIA near Berlin, Germany. He was awarded the Air Medal with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters.
