David John Bell, Jr. was born Jan. 28, 1917 to David John (Sr.) and Myrtle Mae Sumners Bell. He died Jan. 5, 1944 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion, IA.
Sgt. Bell died in the crash of a B-17 F Flying Fortress during a training flight in Utah. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps, World War II.
