Louie Leslie Beers was born May 26, 1920 to Wilbur and Grace Irene Blue Beers. He died Aug. 12, 1945 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing at Brittany American Cemetery and Memorial, Saint James, Normandy, France.
Sgt. Beers was a member of the 737th Tank Battalion, U.S. Army in World War II. He was declared MIA in the vicinity of Mortrain, France and later declared KIA. He was awarded a Purple Heart.
