Joseph M. “Joe" Barnes was born July 26, 1920 to Marion and Ella Drake Barnes. He died Mar. 11, 2015 and is buried in Alden Cemetery, Alden, IA.
Lt. Barnes served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II and flew 35 bomber missions. He remained in the Air Force Reserve until 1952.
