Kenneth Babcock a War Prisoner
Staff Sergt. Kenneth M. Babcock, 22, previously reported missing in action Oct. 17 in Italy, now is a prisoner of the Germans, the war department has informed his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B.H. Babcock, 516 Fifteenth st.
Sergeant Babcock was a member of the Iowa national guard and was sent to Camp Claiborne, La., in February, 1941. He has served overseas three years with an infantry regiment of the 34th division.
Before entering the service, he was employed at Fort Dodge, Ia. A brother, Corp. Wilbur Babcock, is stationed in New Guinea.
